Limited edition records & fine art prints
Since 2020, Lorna has collaborated with trumpeter and composer Nick Walters on DOT Records, creating artwork and limited edition fine art prints to accompany each vinyl release. Together they explore the crossover of visual rhythm and sound, producing collectable editions conceived in Hackney.
2023 - Marine Moods
Marine Moods (2023) is Nick Walters’ jazz-fusion album on D.O.T. Records, inspired by the sea. Lorna Robertson created the cover artwork - a semi-abstract oil painting of a trumpet, plant, and goldfish bowl, echoing the music’s fluid energy.
2022 -Padmāsana
Padmāsana is Nick Walters’ second 2023 release on D.O.T. Records, blending jazz fusion, electronics, and Indian influences. The cover by Lorna Robertson features a white lotus, with a Jaipur stamp pattern on the back.
2022 - Ranakpur
Limited 10" Ragas (2023) – Nick Walters returns to D.O.T. Records with two ragas recorded with Kashif Ali Dhani (tabla) and Muzamil Hussain (sarod), inspired by his travels in India. The bespoke screen printed sleeve by Lorna Robertson is hand-numbered, stamped, and signed, with only 150 copies available.
2021 - Singularity
Singularity (2021) – Nick Walters’ cosmic electronic-jazz album on D.O.T. Records, built around NASA audio samples and inspired by gravitational singularities. Featuring Tim Carnegie, Tenderlonious, and Thibaut Remy, the cover by Lorna Robertson combines a Hubble image with hand-drawn elements, showing a spacecraft and spaceman navigating the album’s otherworldly soundscape.
2021 - Implicate Order
Implicate Order (2021) – The first release on D.O.T. Records and the third album from Nick Walters’ Paradox Ensemble. The 11-piece band blends spiritual and Eastern jazz with West African rhythms and electronics. The cover by Lorna Robertson is a Kandinsky-inspired abstract interpretation of the musicians and their music.
