Riot Jazz 'OnJob': EP Artwork

Release Date | 6 May

The Sounds of Riot Jazz. Turning nine musicians into a painting. Really enjoyed designing the artwork for the new 'On Job' EP by UK Jazz band Riot Jazz. A high energy group needed some high energy painting.

The concept is based on the three primary colours, to represent three sections of the band. Each member has a portrait using the three colours, which are then combined to make the whole.

I was thinking about how a band works. Each person brings their unique skills and personality. Each plays their part as an induvial, which all combines to make the larger band. Which of course, leads to music.

The paintings also became the framework for their new music video 'Deet Darh' single, which was produced by the multi talented Riot Jazz member and film maker Steve Pycroft

To celebrate, the band are going on tour over the next couple of months. Grab a ticket for a city near you and order your copy of the new EP via the excellent bandcamp.
